In a landmark move, Humly has expanded into London with the acquisition of supply teaching agency Future Education – its first step into the capital’s dynamic education market.
This follows a series of five acquisitions across England since 2021, cementing Humly’s ambition to modernise the UK’s education staffing sector. London’s supply education market is estimated to be worth over £300 million a year, and Humly aims to revolutionise it through its tech-driven marketplace that connects educators with schools and nurseries in a smarter, more scalable way.
The capital city boasts over 3,000 schools across Primary, Secondary, and SEN sectors – supported by a 20,000-strong pool of supply teachers. There are also more than 1,800 registered nurseries requiring up to 12,000 nursery nurses on a flexible basis.
Croydon-based Future Education has operated for over 20 years, serving 300 schools through a 30-person team with a reputation for reliability and deep local ties. Their experience makes them a valuable addition to Humly’s expanding UK network.
With the acquisition now complete, Future Education joins the Humly family, heralding a fresh phase of digital-first innovation within London’s education scene.
