Three new profiles give Microsoft Flight Simulator pilots hands-on control of one of the sim’s most anticipated airliners.
BELFAST, UK. September 8th, 2026 – Flight Panels has launched three new Stream Deck profiles for Microsoft Flight Simulator, designed specifically for the Synaptic A220 and giving pilots a physical interface for managing the aircraft’s systems.
With Elgato Stream Deck hardware, pilots can access A220 controls through physical buttons, rotary dials and LCD touchscreens, reducing the need to navigate menus and controls with a mouse. The result is a more immediate and tactile way to operate the aircraft, helping keep attention on the cockpit while adding another layer of immersion to the desktop flying experience.
Richard Kennedy, Founder of Flight Panels, said: “Few aircraft in recent memory have generated as much anticipation as the Synaptic A220. What started life in 2021 as an open-source community project evolved into a full commercial airliner, spent years in development under iniBuilds, appeared at two consecutive FSExpo shows and ultimately launched on the Microsoft Flight Simulator Marketplace in August 2026.
“The wait has delivered an impressive regional airliner, featuring custom fly-by-wire logic, a faithful Pro Line Fusion avionics suite and a level of systems depth that puts it among the most detailed aircraft available in the simulator. Our profiles have been developed to reflect that same level of detail.”
Flexibility is at the heart of the Flight Panels approach. Unlike dedicated cockpit hardware designed around a single aircraft type, Stream Deck devices can be adapted to suit different aircraft. Pilots can move from the A220 to another aircraft in their hangar without having to replace or rearrange their hardware. With a simple tap, the profile changes to match the controls and visual style of the aircraft being flown.
Aircraft Profile
The Aircraft Profile provides more than 500 custom-designed buttons across 19 pages, covering the A220’s flight management, avionics, communications, electrical, fuel and environmental systems.
Some A220 systems do not currently expose all of the data required by an external interface. To reproduce functions such as the CTP (Control Tuning Panel), the primary cockpit interface used to manage radio communications and navigation, Flight Panels has developed a custom connector for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
The buttons are designed to reflect the appearance and functionality of the A220 cockpit, with controls pre-configured for use straight out of the box. The profile includes both 15-key and 32-key layouts and supports the Stream Deck XL, MK.2, Stream Deck Mobile for iOS and Android, and the Corsair Xeneon Edge. It is priced at £25.
Autopilot Profile
Designed for Stream Deck +, the Autopilot Profile makes use of the device’s physical buttons, LCD touchscreen and rotary dials. Pilots can adjust heading, altitude, speed and vertical navigation using the hardware controls, providing a more natural alternative to operating the corresponding on-screen controls with a mouse.
The Autopilot Profile is priced at £15.
AeroLens Pro Enhanced Profile
AeroLens Pro is Flight Panels’ camera management solution for pilots, digital creators and streamers. It provides quick access to cockpit, instrumentation, showcase, custom and quick-view cameras, making it easier to move between different perspectives during a flight or recording.
The A220 Enhanced edition adds 24 custom camera views created specifically to complement the aircraft, including tail, nose wheel, cabin, overwing and engine perspectives. These additional views provide options that are not available through the aircraft’s existing camera selection.
The profile is designed for the Stream Deck XL, Stream Deck Mobile for iOS and Android, and the Corsair Xeneon Edge. It is priced at £20.
All three profiles are also available as part of the Synaptic Super Bundle, a designation reserved for Flight Panels’ most popular Stream Deck profiles. The bundle includes the A220 Aircraft, Autopilot and AeroLens Pro Enhanced profiles, together with the Flight Panels Profile Switcher, providing a 20% saving compared with purchasing the products individually.
The three profiles are compatible with both Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and are available now, either individually or as part of the Synaptic Super Bundle, from the Flight Panels Store.
