ABINGDON, UK. September 8th, 2026 – Olly Glover, MP for Didcot and Wantage, recently visited LTi Metaltech’s Abingdon facility to meet employees and gain a closer understanding of the specialist engineering and manufacturing work being carried out locally to support safety-critical industries.
The visit provided Mr Glover with an opportunity to learn more about LTi’s operations, its long-standing contribution to Oxfordshire and the work it undertakes for highly regulated and safety-critical sectors.
Following an introduction from LTi’s leadership team, Mr Glover toured the facility, meeting employees and seeing the engineering, fabrication, welding and testing capabilities used to manufacture high-integrity pressure vessels and mission-critical equipment.
People and skills were also a key focus of the visit. LTi has been manufacturing in Oxfordshire for more than 20 years, with around 78% of its workforce living in the county. The business continues to invest in apprenticeships, training and internal progression to develop the expertise required to support its future growth.
