Dr Ed Robinson introduces new clinic identity to reflect growing medical offering

The evolution of a Cheshire clinic towards a broader, medically led model of care has prompted a change of name, reflecting how its services now extend well beyond cosmetic injectables to address a wider range of patient needs.

Dr Ed Robinson Aesthetics has become Dr Ed Clinics, marking the next stage in the development of the Hale-based practice.

While Botox and fillers formed part of its original offering, patients can now access support for skin concerns, hair loss, regenerative treatments and men’s health, as well as aesthetic procedures.

Dr Ed said: “When I first started the clinic, the name reflected what we were doing at the time.

“But things have changed a lot since then. We now see patients for their skin, hair loss, regenerative treatments and men’s health, and some patients never have an injectable at all.

“Calling ourselves Dr Ed Robinson Aesthetics doesn’t feel like an accurate reflection of the clinic.”

Founded in 2022, the practice was built around Dr Ed’s medical training and experience in NHS anaesthesia, with an emphasis on bringing a clinical perspective to aesthetic care.

Over time, its services have developed to meet a broader range of needs, attracting patients seeking support for concerns beyond cosmetic treatments.

Dr Ed said: “Aesthetics is still an important part of what we do, but we’re becoming more of a medical clinic.

“For me, it’s looking at the patient properly, understanding what they actually need and then recommending treatment only where it’s appropriate.

“That can mean an aesthetic treatment, but it can also mean helping someone with their skin, hair loss or another health concern.”

The new identity follows the clinic’s first Care Quality Commission inspection, which resulted in a Good rating overall and in each of the five areas assessed.

The inspection also recognised the practice’s leadership, governance and culture of ongoing improvement.

Dr Ed said: “Receiving a Good CQC rating across every area was a huge milestone for us.

“It showed that the way we run the clinic, assess patients and approach treatment is being recognised at a medical level, and I think the new name reflects that direction much better.”

The rebrand comes at a time when the Government is proposing tighter controls across the aesthetics industry. Planned changes include restrictions on higher-risk cosmetic procedures and further licensing arrangements for treatments such as Botox and fillers.

Dr Ed said: “I think it’s really positive to see the industry moving towards tighter regulation.

“These are medical treatments and they should be treated seriously. For us, that’s always been the approach, so changing the name to Dr Ed Clinics feels quite fitting.”

The clinic recently received the title of Medical Aesthetics Clinic of the Year, Cheshire, at the Manchester & North West England Prestige Awards 2026/27.

Dr Ed was also recognised with an Outstanding Achievement accolade as Aesthetic Professional of the Year at the 14th English Hair & Beauty Awards 2026 North.

In addition, the practice has been shortlisted as a finalist in two categories at the This is Manchester Awards 2026.

Dr Ed said: “The name is changing, but the principles behind the clinic are exactly the same.

“We’ll continue to put patients first, recommend treatment only when it’s right for them and focus on natural results, safety and good medical care.

“This is a name that better reflects what the clinic has become.”
